There’s a beautiful synergy between the restorative benefits of aromatherapy and the balancing effects of Mindfulness. Knowing how each diffuser works means knowing when and where they’re best suited.
Nebulising diffusers should be extremely safe, non-toxic, and very quiet. They drive a stream of pressurised air into the essential oil, causing it to atomize into micro-particles that fill the glass reservoir. These particles are then released into your home in the form of an undiluted mist, ensuring the oil’s therapeutic properties remain unaffected. Being waterless, the oil concentration produces a much stronger scent, making this an excellent option for larger rooms or spaces.
An ultrasonic diffuser uses atomisation technology to convert water and essential oil into a cool fine mist, without heat or chemicals. Ultrasonic vibrations charge the mist with negative ions, which are magnetically attracted to airborne particles and pollutants, like dust, pollen, and smoke, causing them to fall. Combined with essential oils’ therapeutic properties, they are said to help support our respiratory and immune systems, relieve stress, and enhance mood. Our Cascade ultrasonic diffuser is ideally suited to small and medium-sized spaces.
All you need to get started with our oil burning diffuser is a single tea light candle, a small amount of fresh water, and 3-6 drops of your favourite essential oil or blend. They work by heating the water & essential oils using candle light, converting them into an aromatic vapour which is then released into the surrounding environment. When paired with an ultrasonic or nebulising diffuser, they can help to fragrance areas around the home otherwise out-of-reach, and who doesn’t appreciate the calming, mindful glow of candle light?
Nebulising diffusers go beyond simply fragrancing your surrounding environment. They harness the unaltered balancing properties of your essential oils to deliver a therapeutic, aromatic experience. If cost isn’t your primary concern, this type of diffuser is a great choice.
Ultrasonic humidifying diffusers are wonderfully adaptable and cost-effective aromatherapy aids. A single 10ml bottle of essential oil will go a long way, and their reduced concentration produces a more subtle aroma, making them perfect for everyday use.
Oil-burning diffusers are cost-effective, portable and easy to use. They are effective in small spaces but can be used to great effect when boosting the reach of nebulising and/or ultrasonic models. Oil burners do represent a fire hazard and should never be left unattended.

They must be diluted before being used on the skin. To dilute them safely please refer to our blending guidelines here… Essential oils are not suitable for topical application during pregnancy.
Essential oils can cause sensitisation to the skin. Always use any essential oils with care. Discontinue use immediately if a rash occurs. If you suffer from sensitive skin, please perform a patch test before applying to larger area.
Do not dispose of essential oils down the drain. Undiluted essential oils can be toxic to aquatic organisms and may cause long term adverse effects to the aquatic environment.
Eternal Sunshine’s essential oil and blends should never be taken internally. Keep essential oils away from sensitive areas, like the eyes. Should any essential oil come in to contact with the eyes, wash thoroughly with cold water and seek medical advice if required.
Ensure essential oils are kept out of the reach of children! If a child accidentally swallows any essential oil seek medical advice immediately.
Avoid spillages. If spilt, clean immediately. Please store in a dry dark place, away from direct sunlight and heat. Essential oils are flammable. Keep away from flames. If you are pregnant, suffer from a skin condition, epilepsy, asthma or are taking medication, please seek medical advice before use. Essential oils are not suitable for children. We recommend leaving the door open when using essential oils around animals, enabling them to come and go as they please.
Simply blend 5 to 20 drops of your favourite essential oil(s) with a tablespoon of carrier oil (we recommend using Grapeseed or Argan oil).
Gently swirl 3-5 drops of your blend into a warm bath to unlock the therapeutic powers of pure essential oils.
